Marketing Philosopher (Brand Strategy & Narrative)

CairoFull-timeEGP13k – EGP22k

Marketing Philosopher (Brand Strategy & Narrative) You will be measured on clarity and coherence: how well our positioning, messaging, and content system improve conversion and perceived value over time. Type: Full-time (long-term contract after trial) Location: Remote / Hybrid Level: Senior Role Overview We’re hiring a Marketing Philosopher to shape how the market understands our agency: what we stand for, who we serve, why we’re different, and how our story stays consistent across everything we publish. This is a strategy-first role focused on positioning, narrative, and clarity. You will not be judged by “busy work.” You will be judged by whether our marketing becomes sharper, more coherent, and more persuasive over time.

Key Responsibilities Positioning & Brand Narrative • Define and refine our positioning: ICPs, segments, category, differentiators, and “why us.” • Build a clear brand narrative and messaging system (pillars, proof points, tone, vocabulary, do/don’t rules). • Turn messy services into clean offers people can understand and buy. Strategic Thinking & Direction • Develop campaign concepts and high-level creative angles (themes, hooks, storylines), then brief the team. • Create strategic frameworks for content and growth (what to say, why it matters, and how it builds authority). • Produce competitor/category analysis and translate it into actionable narrative choices. Content System & Editorial Direction • Build an editorial strategy and oversee the logic of the content calendar (themes, series, cadence, funnel intent). • Ensure everything published matches the brand voice and long-term direction (social, website, case studies, Behance). • Collaborate with Art Director/creative team to maintain consistency between message and visuals. Research & Insight • Run lightweight research: customer interviews, market scans, messaging tests, internal data review. • Capture insights and convert them into clearer offers, better briefs, and stronger communication. Service Improvement (Strategic Layer) • Identify gaps in our product/service packaging and propose improvements to increase perceived value. • Help define standards: what “premium commercial output” means and how we communicate it.

Work Pace & Expectations (Required) • Comfortable working under pressure with tight, sometimes sensitive timelines. • Able to deliver strategic decisions quickly when launches or client needs require it. • Time off may be limited during peak delivery periods.

Quality Standards (Required) • Exceptional clarity in writing and thinking. No fluff, no vague “branding vibes.” • Strong taste and consistency: messaging must be coherent across channels and time. • Self-QA before review: structure, logic, accuracy, and alignment with positioning.

Feedback & Revisions (Required) • Comfortable with direct feedback and multiple revisions. • Able to revise strategy and messaging without ego, while keeping a consistent “north star.”

File Discipline (Required) • Must maintain organized documentation and version control for: o positioning docs, messaging frameworks, briefs, calendars, and strategy decks • Work should be easy for others to use and execute without constant clarification.

Tool Adaptability (Required) Marketing platforms and AI tools evolve. You must adapt quickly and update messaging systems, content logic, and strategy frameworks without losing coherence.

Confidentiality (Required) • NDA required. No sharing internal strategy, client info, or unreleased content.

Requirements • 5–10+ years in brand strategy, marketing strategy, or messaging (agency or in-house). • Strong portfolio of strategy work: positioning, messaging frameworks, campaign narratives, brand systems. • Ability to brief creative teams clearly and raise quality without micromanaging execution. • Excellent writing: short, sharp, persuasive. Nice to Have • Experience positioning creative agencies or production services. • Familiarity with AI-enabled creative production (enough to brief realistically). • Experience creating thought leadership or editorial systems.

Hardware & Work Setup (Required) Reliable hardware and stable internet for collaboration, writing, and review workflows. Software & Tools Support Company pays 50% of required software/tooling, and may cover 100% depending on the case.

Hiring Process (Non-Negotiable) • Portfolio/proof of work required (positioning docs, messaging frameworks, briefs, narrative examples). • Practical test required (create a positioning + messaging framework from a short brief). • Two trial phases before long-term contract: 1. 1st month: 50% paid trial 2. Next 2 months: full paid trial Conversion to long-term contract after successful completion.

How to Apply Send: • Strategy portfolio (frameworks, narrative work, positioning examples) • 1–2 examples of briefs you wrote that led to strong creative output • A short note: “One brand positioning you admire and why” (5–8 lines)
