Media Buyer / Paid Ads Specialist

Role Summary

Scorp Marketing is hiring a Media Buyer / Paid Ads Specialist who can plan, launch, and optimize performance campaigns with discipline and speed. You will own paid acquisition across platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google, YouTube, LinkedIn when needed), manage budgets responsibly, and turn creative into measurable results.

This role is for someone who is both analytical and execution-driven: you understand the numbers, you understand the audience, and you know how to work with creatives to continuously improve performance.

What You Will Own

1) Campaign Setup & Launch

* Build and launch paid campaigns across relevant channels: * Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, Google Search/Display, YouTube, LinkedIn (as needed) * Set up campaign structures correctly (objectives, audiences, placements, bidding, budgets). * Configure tracking: pixels, events, conversion goals, and UTMs (in coordination with the team).

2) Optimization & Performance Growth

* Monitor and optimize daily/weekly performance: CPM, CTR, CPC, CPA, CVR, ROAS, CAC. * Identify waste, reallocate budgets, and scale winners safely. * Run structured testing: audiences, creatives, offers, landing pages, and messaging angles. * Diagnose performance problems and propose clear next actions (not generic “creative fatigue” excuses).

3) Creative Collaboration (Paid Ads Needs Great Creatives)

* Translate performance insights into clear creative direction: * what angles to test, what hooks to write, what formats to produce * Build creative testing plans with the content/creative team: * variations, iterations, weekly testing targets * Provide precise feedback on ads (thumbstop rate, hook effectiveness, message clarity).

4) Reporting & Communication

* Deliver weekly performance reporting with: * KPIs, insights, what changed, why it changed, and what we do next * Keep documentation clean: budgets, tests, results, learnings, and decisions. * Communicate clearly with internal teams and clients when needed.

5) Funnel & Landing Page Awareness

* Review landing pages and funnels to improve conversion (CRO basics). * Suggest improvements for tracking accuracy, form flow, page speed, and trust signals.

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

* Campaigns are structured cleanly and tracked properly. * Testing is consistent: fresh creatives and new angles weekly. * Reporting is clear, actionable, and honest. * Performance improves through disciplined optimization and creative iteration.

Required Skills & Experience

* 3–7+ years in paid advertising / media buying (agency experience preferred). * Strong hands-on experience with Meta Ads (required) and at least one of: TikTok Ads, Google Ads, YouTube, LinkedIn. * Strong understanding of: * campaign structure, pixel/events, attribution basics, UTMs * Comfortable working with creatives and converting performance data into creative briefs. * Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for analysis and reporting.

* Comfortable with direct feedback and fast iteration cycles. * Able to adjust strategy quickly without losing discipline.

Quality Standards (Required)

* Self-QA everything: tracking, naming, budget settings, targeting, links, UTMs, reporting accuracy. * No “set and forget” behavior.

File Discipline (Required)

* Maintain clean documentation and versioning for: * campaign plans, tests, reports, learnings, and creative requests

Tool Adaptability (Required)

* Platforms change constantly. You must stay current and adapt quickly.

Confidentiality (Required)

* NDA required. No sharing client data, ad accounts, strategies, or internal work.

Tools You Should Be Comfortable With

* Meta Business Manager / Ads Manager * TikTok Ads Manager / Google Ads (depending on platform focus) * GA4 and basic analytics dashboards * Google Sheets / Excel * Tracking tools (pixel setups, UTMs; coordination with dev if needed)

Nice to Have

* Experience with lead gen funnels and CRM tracking (HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Salesforce, etc.) * Experience running creative testing systems at scale * Understanding of attribution and measurement limitations (iOS/privacy, conversion windows)

Reliable hardware and stable high-speed internet required.

Software & Tools Support

Company pays 50% of required software/tooling costs, and may cover 100% depending on the case.
